    Goods in Transit Insurance


    Goods in Transit’ furniture removal insurance covers your goods only whilst they are in transit. Your goods will be covered against the following:

    Fire
    Collision
    Hijacking
    Overturning
    Theft

    Domestic Removal Insurance in South Africa

    Moving & Storage Insurance 

    Cape Furniture Removals take great pride in our workmanship and aspire to prevent any incidences and therefore we have a very low incidence rate. It's unfortunate but we are in a high-risk industry where we handle fragile, delicate and sometimes poorly manufactured goods that are essentially not designed to withstand transportation or extra handling that is required when moving home or offices.

    It's for this reason that we strongly suggest you take out our All Risk Insurance to protect your goods from the risk and elements that are at play when moving your household and office furniture. This option provides the following when relocating:


    • Peace of mind 
    • Handling damage – There is risk every time furniture is moved, irrespective of the removal company
    • Storm damage, including flooding
    • Riot and strike action
    • Theft by forced entry
    • Fire in vehicle


    Requirements should you wish to take out ALL risk insurance cover for your move:

    • Complete the Cape Removals Insurance Application Form, valuing all your effects, and submit it to us before your moving day
    • Pay the All risk Insurance quote given to you by your consultant before the move 

    Unfotunatley Moving furniture provides risk, Even the best laid and executed plans can go awry due to unforeseen circumstances, which is why we will ensure that your move and your possessions are insured.


    Storage Insurance 


    When your possessions are in storage, Cape Removals does not provide any insurance cover and you need to arrange your own insurance cover to protect you against any risk of loss or damage, with an insurance company of your choice. This is normally free provided you notify your insuring broker.

    The all-risk furniture removal insurance cover starts from the moment we lay our hands on your possessions until you are fully settled in your new home or office. Your goods will be covered against the following:
