About Durban:

Among the major cities in South Africa, Durban is considered the third largest after Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Durban is known for its hot humid summers and dry warm winters and its beaches. Having being rated "the coolest city in South Africa you've never seen of" by CNN, it's not hard to see why. It has also been named the greenest city in the world by Husqvarna Urban Green Space Index.

Durban is home to a natural port which serves as the largest port in South Africa as well as the fourth busiest in the Southern Hemisphere

PLANNING ESSENTIALS IF MOVING OFFICES

Procure the floor plan of your new location, and use it to plan at which desk each person will sit.

Assign a number to each of the desks. It’s easiest to sequentially number the desks.

A good strategy is to number batches per department. For example, if all the marketing staff are allocated to one area, assign each desk number will begin from 100. So the first desk will be number 101, the second desk will be 102, the third desk will be 103 and so it continues. Once all desks are complete in that department, the next department will start with number 200. So the first desk in the second department will be desk number 201, the second will be 202 and the third will be 203.

People with individual offices should have a number assigned to the office. The strategy we recommend is to number offices situated next to each other sequentially.

Match your numbered floor plan with the staff members who will be assigned to a desk/office.
Name communal spaces, this one is up to you whether to use names or numbers, just ensure they are clear.
Work with IT to ensure all data and power needs are ready (or will be ready) for moving day.
Confirm that you have all details to access the building and that there will be parking available for removalists.  Read More on Planning for your Office Moving
